Terms & Conditions 

Welcome to the CEDTI Membership Program. By applying for and participating in this program, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms govern your membership with CEDTI and your responsibilities as a member.

 

1. Eligibility

  • Applicants must be professionals, researchers, or students with a demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary research.

  • CEDTI reserves the right to approve or reject any application at its discretion.

2. Benefits

Members will have access to:

  • CEDTI’s research resources such as, online scientific journals, peer publications and reading materials available.

  • Opportunities to collaborate on projects, workshops, and publications.

  • Networking events and professional development programs.

 

3. Responsibilities of Members

  • Members must actively contribute to CEDTI’s research initiatives by engaging and collaborating with team members and communicate about the initiatives
    Members are expected to uphold CEDTI’s values and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
    Any use of CEDTI’s name or resources must be pre-approved.

4. Publications

  • Publications must align with CEDTI’s mission and research focus areas, including territorial and urban development, climate resilience, and sustainable practices.

  • All submissions are subject to review and approval by CEDTI’s editorial board.

  • Publications should mention CEDTI as institutional affiliation. 

  • Authors retain copyright but grant CEDTI the right to publish and distribute the work.

  • Authors must adhere to ethical research and publication practices, including avoiding plagiarism and ensuring data integrity.

  • Any breach of ethical standards may result in rejection or retraction of the publication.

5. Confidentiality

  • Members must maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or sensitive information shared by CEDTI.

  • Unauthorized disclosure of such information may result in legal action.

6. Termination

  • Members may terminate their membership by providing written notice one month prior the intended termination date.

  • CEDTI reserves the right to terminate affiliation for non-compliance with these terms.

7. Liability

CEDTI is not liable for any damages or losses incurred by members during their participation in the program.

8. Amendments

CEDTI reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at a notice period of 15 days prior to the amendment. Members will be notified of any changes.

9. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius.
