Over the past three years, the National Study on Coastal Risks and Resilience has brought together scientists, local institutions, and international partners to better understand coastal erosion and flooding in Mauritius and Rodrigues. The findings are now available — and they raise important questions for all of us who live, work, and depend on these shores.

The scientific work was led by BRGM in partnership with Météo‑France (Indian Ocean Regional Office), the University of Limoges (UMR 6042 Géolab), and the University of Mascareignes. The vulgarisation and dissemination campaign is being carried out by CEDTI, with the support of AFD, Expertise France, and Business Mauritius.

Researchers including Nathalie Bernardie‑Tahir (University of Limoges – Géolab) and Franck Desmazes (BRGM) are on the ground for this workshop series. They are here to share the findings, to answer questions, and to listen to your observations.
