Skills For Sustainable Territories
Introduction
The challenges to be addressed are enormous in the face of climate change, social inequalities, and current geopolitical tensions. This research group explores the issues of Mauritian territories and the Indian Ocean in terms of skills (human resources) for transitions and to achieve the sustainable development goals set by the UN in the 2030 agenda.
The group's research can take different forms— theoretical, clarifying new concepts and key tools for territories, such as territorial interoperability. Additionally, it can take very applied forms, aiming to concretely identify the skills needed to implement sustainability policies and designing and experimenting with new initial and ongoing training programs to develop these skills.
